Watercolour drawing: Christmas wreath

  • Step 1: Pre-draw the layout with the STABILO pencil 160.
  • Step 2: Paint the elements of the Christmas wreath with the STABILOaquacolor.
  • Step 3: Paint the colours of the STABILOaquacolor with a brush and some water.
  • Step 4: Use the brush to add a few splashes of colour to your drawing.
  • Step 5: Outline your drawings with the STABILO SENSOR.
  • Step 6: Create the letters with the STABILO SENSOR.

Watercolour drawing: Snowman


  • Step 1: Pre-draw the layout with the STABILO pencil 160.
  • Step 2: Paint the elements of the Christmas wreath with the STABILOaquacolor.
  • Step 3: Paint the colours of the STABILOaquacolor with a brush and some water.

Watercolour drawing: Polar bear

  • Step 1: Draw the polar bear with the STABILO pencil 160.
  • Step 2: Trace the contours of the polar bear with the STABILO pen 68 and paint it with a brush and some water. This creates a great watercolour effect.
  • Step 3: Use the same technique to paint the bottom and the background.

Watercolour drawing: Tree Ornaments

  • Step 1: Draw the layout with the STABILO Pencil 160 and a circle stencil.
  • Step 2: Apply some colour of the STABILO Pen 68 brush to a small piece of transparent plastic foil.
  • Step 3: Spray the plastic foil with a little water and press it onto the pre-drawn christmas balls. Repeat this step until you are satisfied with the result.
  • Step 4: Pour some colour of STABILO Pen 68 metallic on a transparent plastic foil and spray it with water. Use a brush to add small splashes of colour to your artwork.
  • Step 5: Outline your drawings with the STABILO SENSOR. Make sure that the colour spots dry well before drawing the outline.
  • Step 6: Colour the other elements of the tree ornament with the STABILO Pen 68 metallic.

Watercolour drawing: Geometric racoon

  • Step 1: Using the STABILO pencil 160, sketch the outline of a geometric raccoon on a card.
  • Step 2: Draw on a transparent plastic foil with the STABILO Pen 68 in the colour grey. Then dip a brush in water, watercolour the colours and place the foil upside down over your picture to create small blobs of colour.
  • Step 3: Repeat the second step several times with different shades of gray of the STABILO Pen 68.
  • Step 4: Next, use a brush to draw more small blobs on the picture with your watercolour paints and colour in the nose and eyes. Draw lightly over the facial features with a light grey watercoloured shade.
  • Step 5: Draw the outlines of the raccoon with the STABILO SENSOR F.

Watercolour drawing: Geometric fox

  • Step 1: Draw the outline of a geometric fox on watercolour paper using the STABILO pencil 160.
  • Step 2: Draw on a transparent plastic foil using the STABILO Pen 68 in the colours apricot, orange and red. Then dip a brush in water, watercolour the colours and place the foil upside down over your picture.
  • Step 3: Continue working on the picture with the brush.
  • Step 4: Draw small dots and dabs on your image.
  • Step 5: Finally, draw the outlines of the fox again with the STABILO SENSOR M.

Watercolour drawing: Ice cream

  • Step 1: Draw the ice cream with the Stabilo pencil 160.
  • Step 2: Apply different colours of STABILO Pen 68 to a transparent plastic foil and use a brush to apply them to the watercolour paper.
  • Step 3: Colour the ice cream using this technique.
  • Step 4: Paint a decoration around the ice cream using the STABILO SENSOR.
  • Step 5: Erase the pencil lines.

Watercolour drawing: Geometric badger dog

  • Step 1: Draw the outline of a geometric badger dog on watercolour paper using the STABILO pencil 160.
  • Step 2: Watercolour the STABILO Pen 68 brush in the colours purple, violet and red.
  • Step 3: Now dab small blobs of colour over the badger dog with a brush. Use the different shades to do this. Shake the brush very lightly over the card to create small dabs on the watercolour paper.
  • Step 4: Now draw the outlines of the badger dog with the black STABILO SENSOR F.

Watercolour drawing: Bookmark - landscape & nature

  • Step 1: Draw the landscape with the STABILO pencil 160.
  • Step 2: Before you start watercolouring, you can tape off the edge of the bookmark to create a white frame.
  • Step 3: Apply different colours of STABILO aquacolour to watercolour paper and use a brush to apply them to the bookmark.
  • Step 4: Colour the pre-drawn landscape using this technique.

Watercolour drawing: Tea

  • Step 1: Draw the tea cup with the Stabilo pencil 160.
  • Step 2: Apply different colours of STABILO Pen 68 to a transparent plastic foil and use a brush to apply them to the watercolour paper.
  • Step 3: Use this technique to paint various shapes and dots around the cup first and then colour the cup itself.

Watercolour drawing: Abstract art

  • Step 1: Paint with different colours of STABILO woody 3 in 1 on a plate.
  • Step 2: Mix the colours with water and transfer them to your watercolour paper with the brush.
  • Step 3: Create many small details, decorations and patterns with the STABILO point 88.
  • Step 4: Create more highlights with the white STABILO FREE Acrylic.
