Merel Witteman uses design-thinking to tackle today's biggest societal problem:
climate change. After working in the creative industry for more than a decade, Merel
studied how to use natural processes - such as bacteria and fungi - to clean up waste
streams and create sustainable materials while completing her Masters in
Environmental Sciences.
Today, she combines her creative expertise with her scientific knowledge in her one-woman
agency, where she develops science-based sustainable concepts. To make
sustainable solutions accessible and anything but boring. Next project on her list? Why
