Our STABILO BOSS MINI is a highlighter used not only for highlighting text passages but also for colouring with its fluorescent colours. It is not designed to paint tattoos or decorate the skin as it does not comply with the necessary cosmetics directives for this purpose. It does, however, meet the requirements for writing instruments. There is certainly no problem if you occasionally stain your fingers by accident; but in order to paint your face or decorate your skin we suggest you use a tattoo pen with tattoo ink which is available from cosmetic companies, as these inks are easy to paint with, long-lasting on skin and dermatologically tested.

There are a variety of reasons why pencils break or splinter when sharpened. The most common cause is an unsharp blade of the sharpener used. This should therefore be replaced regularly or the sharpener replaced. As a rule of thumb, after about 12 fully sharpened pencils or 24 fully sharpened colored pencils, you should change the blade or use a new sharpener.Another, less common reason is the wood used. Since this is a natural product, there will be variations in the texture of the wood, which can affect the stability of the pens. Despite high quality standards and careful checking of the wood used, brittle wooden pencils can still occur in individual cases.For sharpening the STABILO EASYcolors, we recommend the STABILO EASYsharpener developed for this purpose. The cone angle and the opening diameter of the sharpener are adapted to the colored pencils, so that the likelihood of a lead breaking is minimized.If there are problems with sharpening despite a new sharpener and correct use, contact our service team (serviceteam.de@stabilo.com) and we will check your case in our quality assurance department as quickly as possible.
