Mind Maps

Mind Maps®

The Mind Map®, a concept developed by Tony Buzan, is a dynamic and exciting tool to help all thinking and planning become a smarter and faster activity.  By creating a Mind Map® it is possible to plan every aspect of our lives, whether this be communication, problem solving, recalling memories, revising, teaching or managing time.

How to draw a basic Mind Map®:

  1. Write down or draw the central topic or theme e.g. Viking Invasion:

  1. Draw “branches” from the centre topic detailing each sub topic e.g. Weapons, Battles

  1. From each of these branches, draw more branches detailing the sub groups of their main branches e.g: Weaponsà axes, spears, bows etc. adding images where you want:

  1. Add as much or a little information to each branch as you want – it is your memory tool!
